I'm currently working on my Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Wyoming where I currently work as a Graduate Assistant with the Trustees Education Initiative. I have a Graduate Certificate in Online Learning and Professional Development from Appalachian State University, and a Master's degree in Adult Education and Graduate Certificate in Community College Instruction from East Carolina University. I started my undergraduate career at Arizona State University then I transferred to North Carolina State University, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Education.
Highlights of my experience in instructional design, technology, and teaching include:
- Graduate Assistant with the University of Wyoming's College of Education in the Trustees Education Initiative, where I work in Canvas developing and implementing continuing education courses and inputting coursework for UW's College of Business classes.
- Instructional Designer with GP Strategies as a contractor for a major health insurance company, where I was responsible for creating training simulations in Adobe Captivate and updating training manuals for a new software program that was being released to employees.
- Instructional Assistant in a high school special education department, primarily working with students with learning disabilities.
I also have a passion for service and volunteering. I have served at the national level in various leadership positions for Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority (OPA), and on local cancer awareness event planning committees for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life fundraiser events.
